The Bank of Mexico establishes the correspondence between credit ratings assigned by different securities rating agencies for long-term and short-term obligations, as well as investment fund management, across global and local scales. Financial institutions and other regulated entities must treat ratings from different agencies as equivalent if they fall within the same level defined in the five annexes of this circular. This mapping applies to general provisions and resolutions referencing specific rating grades. The circular enters into force on the next banking day following its publication in the Official Journal.
