Circular dated August 25, 2022 amending the maximum limits for cash withdrawals and deposits

Greetings,

Further to the circular letter issued on April 22, 2020, regarding the maximum limits for cash withdrawal and deposit operations for individuals and companies, whether through bank branches or ATMs, which was implemented temporarily as part of precautionary measures taken to address the impacts of the coronavirus crisis, and in light of the decline of the crisis and efforts to facilitate matters for citizens and companies, it has been decided as follows:

1. Cancellation of the maximum limits for deposit operations for individuals and companies at bank branches and ATMs.

2. Increase the maximum daily limit for cash withdrawal operations for individuals and companies from bank branches from 50,000 Egyptian pounds to 150,000 Egyptian pounds, while keeping the maximum daily limit for ATMs at 20,000 Egyptian pounds.

Please be so kind as to alert relevant parties to take necessary action to implement the above effective from its date.
