Circular No. 8-2026: Adjusted Operating Hours for Banks in Jordan During the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Circular to Banks Operating in the Kingdom No. (8/2026)

In light of the national team's participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, please be informed of the following:

1. The official working hours for banks operating in the Kingdom during the days of Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Tuesday, June 23, 2026, and Sunday, June 28, 2026, shall be from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

2. Public counter services shall commence at 10:30 AM and close at 3:00 PM.

3. The daily working hours for the Real-Time Gross Settlement system - Jordan (RTGS-JO) shall be as follows: a. The period for exchanging bilateral transfers between members shall start at 10:30 AM and end at 4:00 PM. b. The receipt of netting files from retail payment systems for settlement on the system shall be accepted from 10:45 AM to 3:50 PM. c. The liquidity period shall start at 4:00 PM and end at 4:30 PM. During this period, only transfer orders necessary to cover pending orders in the queues or existing daytime repurchase operations shall be processed. d. The working day in the system shall end at 4:30 PM.

4. The window for receiving deposits in the Jordanian Dinar deposit window shall be from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM.

5. The Bankers' Cash Office at the Central Bank shall commence operations with operating banks for cash withdrawal and deposit purposes from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Strict adherence to the specified schedules is requested due to their utmost importance.
