Circular on Extended Operating Hours for Licensed Exchange Companies

Circular to Licensed Exchange Companies

Greetings,

Following our Circular No. (6189/2/9) dated 2020/6/6, which specified the permitted hours for licensed exchange companies to operate and provide their services between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM at the latest, and in reference to the recent government decisions to reduce curfew hours, it has been decided, effective Sunday, 2021/1/10, as follows:

1. The permitted hours for licensed exchange companies to operate and provide their services are extended to be between 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM at the latest.
2. The working hours for exchange companies or licensed branches located within malls, airports, or border centers shall be in accordance with the specific policies and arrangements of those entities.

Reaffirming the necessity to comply with all requirements and conditions specified in previous decisions of the Central Bank of Jordan, which aim to provide safety measures and precautions to mitigate the risks of the coronavirus and ensure the preservation of the health and safety of the sector's customers and employees in accordance with standards.
