CIRCULAR: PI/MA/4/2006

RE: EXTENSION OF SUBMISSION OF QUARTERLY RETURNS (REPORTS)

As per the provision of NAMFISA Circular Letter 1/2002, every registered fund must submit quarterly reports within fourteen (14) days after the end of each quarter.

Kindly, note that the Registrar has reviewed the period in which the fund has to submit their quarter reports to the Registrar and has decided to extend the period from fourteen (14) days to thirty (30) days after the end of each quarter.

Note: This Circular Letter repeals paragraph 3 of Circular Letter 1/2002 which deals with submission of quarterly reports.

This directive shall come into effect on January 1, 2007 and apply to all quarter reports to be submitted by Medical Aid Funds to the Registrar as from January 2007. This Circular will be reviewed 12 months thereafter and compliance herewith in all respect will be observed strictly.

Failure to comply may lead to the Registrar to take appropriate actions as per the provision of the Act.
