• The payment process will cover 99.5% of CAME savers, using resources from PROSOFIPO and at no cost to the treasury.

The National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) informs that, following the managerial intervention decreed in June 2025 and the revocation of the authorization of the Popular Financial Society CAME, S.A. de C.V., S.F.P., carried out on Friday, September 19, 2025, the payment process to savers is launched, in accordance with what is established in the Savings and Popular Credit Law.

The payment will be made with resources from the Fund for the Protection of Popular Financial Societies and the Protection of their Savers (PROSOFIPO), without using money from the public treasury. This fund is integrated with periodic contributions from all Sofipos and has the purpose of protecting the deposits of savers.

With this scheme, the return of up to 25,000 UDIS per person (approximately $219 thousand pesos) is guaranteed, which will allow covering more than 99.5% of CAME savers, that is, 169,564 savers.

The payment process will be orderly, transparent, and accessible. Today, the bases for making the claim request were published in the Official Journal of the Federation. Savers can carry out their procedures through the electronic platform www.fondodeproteccion.mx, or at the service centers that, if applicable, are enabled for this purpose.

The CNBV and PROSOFIPO reiterate that the authorities have acted in a coordinated, timely, and law-abiding manner, with the objective of protecting the savings of Mexicans, guaranteeing the transparency of the processes, and safeguarding the stability of the popular financial system.
