Amending Decision No. 8024 dated 11/1/2002 Concerning the shipment of currency and "precious metals"

The Governor of the Bank of Lebanon,

Having regard to Article 70 of the Monetary and Loan Law;

Having regard to Decision No. 8024 dated 11/1/2002, establishing the Basic Decision concerning the shipment of currency and "precious metals";

Having regard to the decision taken by the Central Bank of Lebanon Council in its session held on 26/8/2026;

:Hereby decides

Article 1 The text of Article 1 of Decision No. 8024 dated 11/1/2002 is repealed and replaced by the following text:

"Exchange institutions that carry out the shipment of currency and/or precious metals shall be subject to the provisions of this Basic Decision, as well as the conditions set forth in Circular No. 13837 dated 18/8/2026 ('Circular No. 6 on the Basic Circular for Exchange Institutions')."

Article 2 The reference to "exchange institutions" in Decision No. 8024 is repealed, along with the attached forms from Decision No. 8024 dated 11/1/2002.

Article 3 This decision enters into force immediately upon its issuance.

Article 4 This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette.
