Cross-Border Transportation of Cash and Precious Metals
The Central Bank of Lebanon amends Decision No. 8024 dated January 11, 2002, regarding the shipment of currency and precious metals. The amendment replaces Article 1 to stipulate that exchange institutions must comply with the conditions set forth in Circular No. 13837 dated August 18, 2026, and Circular No. 6 on exchange institutions. Additionally, Article 2 repeals the reference to the attached forms from the original 2002 decision. The decision enters into force immediately upon its issuance.
