Based on Article 1, paragraphs 3 and 4, Article 2, paragraph 4, Article 7, point i., and Article 74, point i. of the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 20, 1997, the Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its session on December 17, 1997, adopts

DECISION on the establishment of main units of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Article 1.

This Decision prescribes the establishment of main units of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as organizational units of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: main unit and Central Bank), their name, seat and address, seal, tasks and obligations, as well as the region covered by the main units.

Article 2.

Three main units of the Central Bank are established, namely: two main units of the Central Bank in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one main unit in the Republic of Srpska, with the full names as follows:

• Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Main Unit Sarajevo,
• Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Main Unit Mostar,
• Main Bank of the Republic of Srpska of the Central Bank of BiH.

Article 3.

The seat, street and number of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Main Unit Sarajevo is in Sarajevo, Marshal Tito Street No. 25, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Main Unit Mostar is in Mostar (in the central city zone), Kneza Domagoja Street bb and the Main Bank of the Republic of Srpska of the Central Bank of BiH is in Pale, Pere Kosorića Street No. 3.

Article 4.

The main units from Article 2 of this Decision execute their obligations and tasks prescribed by the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: Law on the Central Bank) and according to decisions of the Governing Board, or the Governor of the Central Bank, in accordance with the Law on the Central Bank.

Article 5.

The main units execute their obligations and tasks from Article 4 of this Decision as follows:

a) Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Main Unit Sarajevo in the region that includes:

1. Sarajevo Canton,
2. Zenica-Doboj Canton,
3. Tuzla-Podrinje Canton,
4. Posavina Canton,
5. Bosnian Podrinje Canton Goražde.

b) Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Main Unit Mostar in the region that includes:

1. Herzegovina-Neretva Canton,
2. Central Bosnia Canton,
3. West Herzegovina Canton,
4. Herzeg-Bosnia Canton,
5. Una-Sana Canton.

c) Main Bank of the Republic of Srpska of the Central Bank of BiH in the region of the Republic of Srpska.

Article 6.

Each main unit has a seal, of circular shape, which contains the words: “Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, as well as the name and seat of the main unit from Article 2 of this Decision, with the image of the coat of arms and lettering, in accordance with the law. The seal from paragraph 1 of this Article is produced by the Central Office of the Central Bank, in accordance with Article 1, paragraph 4 and Article 74, point i. of the Law on the Central Bank and this Decision.

Article 7. The organization of business operations and the systematization of job positions of the main units from Article 2 of this Decision will be prescribed by a general act on the organization of business operations and systematization of job positions of the Central Bank.

Article 8.

The Governor of the Central Bank appoints the heads and officials of the main units in accordance with the general act on the organization of business operations and systematization of job positions of the Central Bank based on the general conditions for employment of officials of the Central Bank determined by the Governing Board of the Central Bank.

Article 9.

The main units from Article 2 of this Decision will begin work based on a decision of the Governor with the consent of the Governing Board of the Central Bank.

Article 10.

This Decision will be published in the official gazettes of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska and will enter into force on the day of publication.
