Financial institutions are directed to keep all branches closed on Sunday, 05 January 2014, in 59 districts to allow employees to vote in the 10th National Parliamentary Election, following a general holiday declaration by the Ministry of Public Administration. This closure applies to all operations in these 59 districts, while branches in five specific districts (Joypurhat, Rajbari, Madaripur, Shariatpur, and Chandpur) must remain open to facilitate voting. Management of financial institutions is instructed to make necessary arrangements for the operation of branches in these five districts.

Dear Sir,
Regarding the closure of financial institutions on the occasion of the 10th National Parliamentary Election.
With reference to the Memorandum No. 05.00.0000.173.08.001.12-281 dated 30 December 2013 of the Ministry of Public Administration regarding the 10th National Parliamentary Election, a general holiday has been declared in all districts except five districts (Joypurhat, Rajbari, Madaripur, Shariatpur, and Chandpur) on the day of voting, 05 January 2014 (Sunday). In this context, to enable the employees/staff working in financial institutions to exercise their voting rights and facilitate voting, all operations of financial institutions in the remaining 59 districts, except the aforementioned 5 districts, will remain closed on Sunday, 05 January 2014.
