DFIM Circular Letter No. 06: Duration of Maternity Leave
Financial Institutions and Markets Department of Bangladesh Bank requires all authorized institutions operating in Bangladesh to incorporate a six-month maternity leave period into their human resource management policies for female employees. Institutions must obtain approval from their Board of Directors for these policies and submit them to the department by August 30, 2013. This directive implements the government's SRO No. 05/Doc No. 07.175.008.08.00.001.2000/Law/2011 dated January 09, 2011, and takes effect immediately.
