To: Chief Executive Officers / Managing Directors All Finance Companies operating in Bangladesh.

Dear Sir,

With reference to the general holiday declared on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in the relevant election areas on the occasion of the General/By-Election of Mymensingh and Cumilla City Corporations, 06 Municipalities, and 32 Union Parishads.

1. In accordance with the Gazette Notification No. 03.00.0000.173.08.002.21-23 and 24 dated March 3, 2024, of the Ministry of Public Administration, all business centers, branches, and booths of Finance Companies located in the relevant election areas shall remain closed on Saturday, March 9, 2024, on the occasion of the General Election of Mymensingh City Corporation, the By-Election for the vacant post of Mayor of Cumilla City Corporation, the General Election of 03 Municipalities (Patuakhali Municipality of Patuakhali District, Bakshiganj Municipality of Jamalpur District, and Amaltali Municipality of Barguna District), the By-Election for the vacant post of Mayor of 03 Municipalities (Trishal Municipality of Mymensingh District, Munshiganj Municipality of Munshiganj District, and Shibganj Municipality of Bogura District), the General Election of 13 Union Parishads, and the By-Election for the vacant post of 19 Union Parishads (list attached).

2. This directive is issued under the authority granted by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Company Act, 2023.
