Finance companies operating in Bangladesh must close all business centers, branches, and booths located in specific electoral areas on June 5, 2024. This closure is mandated by a notification from the Ministry of Public Administration regarding general elections for 58 Upazila Parishads. The directive is issued under the authority granted by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Company Act, 2023.

Dear Sir, Regarding the declaration of general holiday in the relevant electoral areas on June 5, 2024, on the occasion of the General Elections of 58 Upazila Parishads. In accordance with Notification Number-05.00.0000.173.08.020.24.65 dated May 27, 2024, of the Ministry of Public Administration (copy enclosed), all business centers, branches/booths of Finance Companies located in the relevant electoral areas shall remain closed on June 5, 2024, on the occasion of the General Elections of 58 Upazila Parishads. 2.
