DFIM Circular No. 09: Online reporting through BB web portal using Rationalized Input Template (RIT)
Effective 30 November 2012, financial institutions must submit specified data exclusively via the Bangladesh Bank web portal using the Rationalized Input Template (RIT), replacing manual submission for items including the Statement of Financial Position, Profit and Loss Account, and various loan categories. Other data not listed must continue to be submitted via existing manual or hybrid methods until further notice. Failure to upload the required information by the deadline or delays in uploading will result in enforcement actions under DFIM Circular No. 05/2012. Institutions are advised to download updated reference files and templates via the authorized TNGW system, verify file integrity before uploading, report end-of-day column data, and obtain Management Director or authorized officer approval for online submissions.

Dear Sir,
Subject: Submission of information/statements through the web portal using Rationalized Input Template (RIT).
Reference is invited to DFIM Circular No. 01 dated 26 January 2012 of this department on the above-mentioned subject.
- In view of the decision to collect the following information exclusively through electronic (online) methods instead of manual methods, instructions are hereby issued to submit the information related to the following statements exclusively through electronic methods [using Rationalized Input Template] to Bangladesh Bank after 30 November 2012:

Other information must continue to be sent to Bangladesh Bank through existing methods (manual / manual and online simultaneously) until further instructions are issued.

If the information related to the statements is not uploaded to the Bangladesh Bank web portal using the relevant RIT within the prescribed time or is uploaded late, action will be taken in accordance with DFIM Circular No. 05/2012.

Updated reference files and copies of templates can be downloaded through the authorized TNGW system.

It is advised to check the relevant file before uploading to the web portal to ensure it is intact before uploading.

It is advised to upload information related to column-wise data after verifying the amount and interest rate of deposits/loans at the end of the day.

It is advised to obtain approval from the Management Director or his nominated/delegated officer for the relevant items listed in the relevant template before uploading to the Bangladesh Bank web portal to authenticate the information submitted online.
This instruction is issued in the public interest under Section 18(c) of the Financial Institutions Act, 1993.
