The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) regulates re-deposits from agricultural banks and other approved financial institutions, limiting the maximum term to one year and requiring central bank approval for each transaction. Interest rates are determined by simple floating rates offered by agricultural banks or designated banks depending on the institution type, while early termination penalties reduce interest based on the elapsed period. Banks may also use these re-deposits as collateral for accommodations subject to central bank approval.
