Dispensing with Submission of Form C to Bangladesh Bank

Attention of Authorized Dealers (ADs) is invited paragraph 10, chapter 5 of the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions’2009 (GFET), Vol-1 and its subsequent FE Circulars regarding submission of Form C together with appropriate schedule as per instructions of GFET, Vol-2. It has now been decided to dispense with the submission of Form C as per Appendix -5/6 of the GFET, 2009, Volume -1 with the monthly/periodic returns to Bangladesh Bank effective from January, 2017. Online Inward Remittance Monitoring System of Bangladesh Bank should be updated at the time of conducting such transactions. ADs shall preserve the printed copy of Form C (with related documents) at their own custody for 05 (five) years for record and inspection of Bangladesh Bank. However, in respect of cases which are under investigation by Bangladesh Bank inspection team/other Government agencies, the Form C and full set of related documents shall be disposed of only after obtaining clearance from the inspection team/Government agency concerned.
