Regarding the conduct of banking operations amidst restrictions imposed by the Government to prevent the spread of Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19). Dear Sir, In light of the restrictions imposed by the Circular No. 04.00.0000.514.16.001.21.142 dated 23 January 2022 of the Cabinet Division of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to prevent the spread of Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19), the following instructions are issued regarding the conduct of banking operations until 06 February 2022: 01. Banking operations must be conducted through rostering with a reduced number of staff/clerks while following health protocols. However, to maintain essential banking services, the concerned institution may take a decision based on its own discretion as needed. 02. Other staff/clerks shall remain at their workplaces and perform official duties virtually. 03. Customers visiting banks must strictly comply with health guidelines, including mandatory wearing of masks. This instruction is issued with the approval of the competent authority.
