To, All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh.

Subject: Opening of all scheduled bank branches in Dhaka and Chittagong Metropolitan Areas on 27 and 28 March, 2015 (Friday and Saturday) in order to facilitate the nomination paper submission in Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka South City Corporation & Chittagong City Corporation Elections.

Reference: Letter No.-17.00.0000.034.37.016.15.92 dated 23/03/2015 from the Secretary, Election Commission Office (Copy enclosed).

It is informed that, in order to ensure security, the Election Commission Office has directed that all branches of scheduled banks located in the Dhaka and Chittagong Metropolitan Areas be kept open on 27 and 28 March, 2015 (Friday and Saturday). This is to facilitate candidates in the general elections for Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka South City Corporation, and Chittagong City Corporation to collect treasury challans, pay orders, or receipts from any scheduled bank for their election deposits.
