All scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh are required to close their branches located in the Modhukhali Pourashava of Faridpur District and the Chandpur Pourashava of Chandpur District on Sunday, 29 March 2015. This closure is mandated to facilitate voting in the respective pourashava elections and to allow bank staff to exercise their voting rights. The directive is issued based on a letter from the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives dated 25/03/2015.

To, All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh.
Dear Sir,
In this context, regarding the closure of scheduled bank branches on the occasion of voting for the Modhukhali Pourashava election in Modhukhali Upazila, Faridpur District, and the Chandpur Pourashava election in Chandpur Upazila, Chandpur District, a general holiday has been declared in the respective electoral areas for voting in the said elections, pursuant to Letter No. 05.00.0000.173.08.001.12-80 dated 25/03/2015 from the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives. In light of this, all branches of scheduled banks located in the respective electoral areas will remain closed according to the following schedule to facilitate the exercise of voting rights by bank staff/employees and voting:
