Regarding the declaration of a general holiday on Sunday, 28 April 2024 in the relevant electoral areas on the occasion of the General/By-Election of 25 Union Parishads and 02 Municipalities.

Dear Sir,

In accordance with Gazette Notification Number-05.00.0000.173.08.020.24-45 and 05.00.0000.173.08.021.24.46 dated 23 April 2024 of the Ministry of Public Administration, all branches/sub-branches of scheduled banks located in the relevant electoral areas, including regional offices, shall remain closed on Sunday, 28 April 2024. This applies to the general elections of 19 Union Parishads and by-elections of 6 Union Parishads (list attached), as well as the by-elections for the vacant positions of Mayor of Jaldhaka Municipality in Nilphamari District and Katakhali Municipality in Rajshahi District.
