The Department of Off-Site Supervision of the Bangladesh Bank has re-fixed the holiday for Shab-e-Barat from Sunday, 21 April 2019 to Monday, 22 April 2019, for all scheduled banks in Bangladesh. This change is implemented in accordance with the decision of the National Moon Sighting Committee of the Islamic Foundation. Banks are required to observe the holiday on the newly designated date.

Dear Sir,
Reference is drawn to this Department's DOS Circular Letter No. 25/2018 dated 29/11/2018 on the subject above regarding the re-fixation of the holiday for the holy occasion of Shab-e-Barat from Sunday, 21 April 2019 to Monday, 22 April 2019.
In accordance with the aforementioned circular, a holiday was declared for the holy occasion of Shab-e-Barat on Sunday, 21 April 2019. Now, in accordance with the decision of the National Moon Sighting Committee of the Islamic Foundation, the holiday declared for the holy occasion of Shab-e-Barat on Sunday, 21 April 2019 has been re-fixed to Monday, 22 April 2019.
