Regarding the extension of the time limit for submission of the annual audit report of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC pursuant to Section 40 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991 (amended up to 2023).

In this regard, a copy of Notification No. DOS(CMS)/1157/41/2025-3611 dated June 18, 2025, issued by Bangladesh Bank, is enclosed herewith for your information and necessary action.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 121 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991, and after consulting with the Government, the Bangladesh Bank hereby exempts only Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC from the obligations stipulated in Section 40 of the said Act and fixes the deadline for submission of its annual audit report to the Bangladesh Bank until August 31, 2025.
