Dear Sir,

In the context of keeping banking operations running on the holiday Saturday to relieve container congestion at the port and for the prompt discharge of goods on the occasion of Holy Ramadan, it is informed to you that, in the interest of resolving port container congestion, ensuring the supply of consumable goods during Holy Ramadan, relieving the inconvenience of port users, and in response to requests from the Chittagong Port area, you are hereby directed to keep all branches of scheduled banks in the Chittagong Port area open every Saturday and conduct normal banking operations until the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

2. In accordance with DOS Circular Letter No. 18 dated 07/12/2006, the existing instructions regarding the opening of Airport, Sea/Land, and Land Port commercial bank branches every Friday and Saturday, and the opening of commercial bank branches located elsewhere in the country on Saturday at their own discretion, shall remain in force.

3. You are also advised to provide reasonable allowances to employees/staff who join duty on holidays in accordance with the rules.
