DOS Circular Letter No. 12: Keeping scheduled bank branches in Chittagong Port area open on every Saturday for discharging of goods to terminate congestion of Container on the occasion of Holy Ramadan
The Department of Off-site Supervision directs all scheduled banks to keep their branches in the Chittagong Port area open every Saturday until Eid-ul-Fitr to facilitate the discharge of goods and alleviate container congestion. Banks are also instructed to continue operating their Airport, Sea/Land Port, and other designated branches on Saturdays as per existing DOS Circular Letter No. 18 dated 07/12/2006. Additionally, banks are advised to provide reasonable allowances to employees working on holidays in accordance with regulations.
