Regarding the request to keep Bangladesh Bank's relevant branches of scheduled banks open on April 29 and 30, 2022, for the payment of wages, bonuses, and other allowances to workers/employees/clerks working in the ready-made garments industry and for the purchase of export bills on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Dear Sir,

In order to facilitate the sale of export bills and the payment of wages, bonuses, and other allowances to workers/employees/clerks working in the ready-made garments industry before the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, instructions are hereby given to take necessary measures to keep the relevant branches of scheduled banks located in Dhaka Metropolitan City, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Baluka, Narayanganj, and Chittagong open on April 29 and 30, 2022, in accordance with the schedule mentioned in DOS Circular Letter No. 10 dated March 30, 2022, subject to ensuring adequate security.

2. The clearing system of Bangladesh Bank will remain open on the aforementioned two days. However, to ensure the smooth operation of the clearing system, no checks will be accepted from any bank branch located outside the aforementioned areas.
