Subject: Regarding keeping relevant bank branches open on April 29 and 30, 2022, for the payment of wages and allowances to workers/employees/officers employed in the ready-made garment industry and for the purchase of export bills, in observance of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Dear Sir,

In order to facilitate the sale of export bills by various institutions related to the ready-made garment industry and the payment of wages, bonuses, and other allowances to workers/employees/officers employed in the said industry before the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, instructions are hereby given to take appropriate measures to keep the ready-made garment industry-related branches of scheduled banks located in Dhaka Metropolitan Area, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Valuka, Narayanganj, and Chattogram open on April 29 and 30, 2022, ensuring adequate security, according to the schedule mentioned in DOS Circular Letter No. 10 dated March 30, 2022.

2. Bangladesh Bank's clearing system will remain open on the aforementioned two days. However, for the smooth operation of the clearing system, checks cannot be drawn on any bank branch located outside the areas mentioned above.
