DOS Circular Letter No. 12: Keeping scheduled bank branches of garments industry areas open on 29 and 30 April, 2022 for the payment of garment workers' wages, bonus and other allowances before Eid-ul-Fitr
The Department of Off-Site Supervision of the Bangladesh Bank directs all scheduled banks to keep branches in Dhaka, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Baluka, Narayanganj, and Chittagong open on April 29 and 30, 2022, for the payment of wages, bonuses, and allowances to garment industry workers and for the sale of export bills. The clearing system of the Bangladesh Bank will remain open on these days, but banks are prohibited from accepting checks from branches located outside the specified areas to ensure smooth operation.
