Regarding conducting banking operations on a limited scale on 29 and 30 April 2022.

Dear Sir,

1. Reference is made to DOS Circular Letter No. 12 issued on 18 April 2022. Through that circular, instructions were given to keep certain bank branches located in specific areas, including Dhaka Metropolitan City, open on 29 and 30 April 2022 in accordance with the Ramadan schedule mentioned in DOS Circular Letter No. 10 dated 30 March 2022.

2. Due to increased transactions in business and commerce on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr this year, the amount of cash deposits and withdrawals in the banking system has increased. In this context, for the convenience of the general public, banking operations will be conducted on a limited scale with a limited number of staff nationwide on 30 April 2022 according to the following schedule:

Banking Transaction Schedule	Timeframe for conducting subsequent ancillary activities
From 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM	Until 2:30 PM

3. Additionally, with partial amendment to DOS Circular Letter No. 12 issued on 18 April 2022, banking operations will be conducted on 29 April 2022 in the areas mentioned in that circular only, according to the following schedule:

From 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM	Until 3:00 PM

4. Relevant offices/departments of Bangladesh Bank will remain open on a limited scale on 29 and 30 April 2022 to facilitate cash transactions.

These instructions are issued in the public interest under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991.
