The Department of Offshore Supervision directs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to keep branches involved in Hajj operations open on 04 May 2023, a government holiday, from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM. Dear Sir,
In light of the Memorandum No. 16.00.0000.003.40.002.23-742 dated 02 May 2023 from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, instructions are hereby given to take appropriate measures to keep your bank's relevant branches/sub-branches related to Hajj operations open on 04 May 2023, a government holiday, until the prescribed banking hours (10:00 AM to 05:00 PM) with a limited number of staff, ensuring proper security for the smooth management of Hajj operations.
This instruction is issued in the public interest under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
