Dear Sir,

With reference to keeping the relevant branches of scheduled banks open on 01 and 02 June, 2019, to facilitate the payment of wages, bonuses, and other allowances to workers/clerks employed in the ready-made garments (RMG) industry, instructions are hereby given to take necessary arrangements to keep the RMG-related branches of scheduled banks located in Dhaka Metropolitan City, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Bhaluka, Narayanganj, and Chittagong open on Saturday, 01 June, 2019 (next day) from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and on Sunday, 02 June, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (transactions: from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM), prior to the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr, for the benefit of paying wages, bonuses, and other allowances to workers/clerks employed in the RMG industry and to keep export trade active, subject to ensuring adequate security.
