DOS Circular Letter No. 14: Keeping scheduled bank branches of garments industry area open on 01 and 02 June, 2019 for the payment of garment workers wages, bonus and other allowances before Eid-ul-Fitr
The Department of Off-Site Supervision directs scheduled banks with garment industry branches in Dhaka, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Bhaluka, Narayanganj, and Chittagong to remain open on Saturday, 01 June 2019, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and on Sunday, 02 June 2019, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (transactions until 2:00 PM). This authorization is granted to facilitate the payment of wages, bonuses, and other allowances to garment workers and clerks prior to Eid-ul-Fitr, subject to the assurance of adequate security measures.
