The Department of Off-Site Supervision advises all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to open their branches associated with the Dhaka, Chittagong, Benapole, ICD, and Kamalpur customs stations on Thursday, 24 September 2015, to support uninterrupted import-export activities for the ready-made garment industry. Additionally, banks are advised to provide reasonable allowances to officers and staff who report for duty on this date, which is a government holiday.

Dear Sir, Regarding the proposal to keep bank branches related to customs stations open on 24 September, 2015, prior to Eid-ul-Azha, to continue the import-export operations of the ready-made garment industry.
In response to the request of BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association), the National Board of Revenue has decided to keep the Dhaka, Chittagong, Benapole, ICD, and Kamalpur customs stations open on 24 September, 2015. In light of this, it is recommended that the relevant branches of scheduled banks associated with the aforementioned customs stations be kept open on Thursday, 24 September, 2015, subject to ensuring security, to facilitate the import-export operations of the export-oriented ready-made garment industry.
It is also recommended that you provide reasonable and dignified allowances to officers/staff who report for duty on Thursday, 24 September, 2015, as it is a government holiday.
