Dear Sir,
Regarding the proposal to keep bank branches related to customs stations open on 24 September, 2015, prior to Eid-ul-Azha, to continue the import-export operations of the ready-made garment industry.

In response to the request of BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association), the National Board of Revenue has decided to keep the Dhaka, Chittagong, Benapole, ICD, and Kamalpur customs stations open on 24 September, 2015. In light of this, it is recommended that the relevant branches of scheduled banks associated with the aforementioned customs stations be kept open on Thursday, 24 September, 2015, subject to ensuring security, to facilitate the import-export operations of the export-oriented ready-made garment industry.

It is also recommended that you provide reasonable and dignified allowances to officers/staff who report for duty on Thursday, 24 September, 2015, as it is a government holiday.
