DOS Circular Letter No. 24: Instructions to follow hygiene for preventing the expansion of COVID-19
The Department of Off-site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank mandates all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to enforce mandatory mask-wearing for staff, customers, and visitors, and to apply a 'No Mask No Service' policy. Banks are required to maintain social distancing and ensure that employees or staff showing symptoms such as fever, cold, cough, or other COVID-19 indicators undergo COVID testing. These instructions were issued on June 30, 2022, in response to a renewed increase in COVID-19 infection rates.

Dear Sir, In light of the renewed increase in the rate of COVID-19 infections, the following instructions are issued for scheduled banks to follow: 01. Make wearing masks mandatory for all staff/employees and visiting customers in all areas of your bank; 02. Apply the "No Mask No Service" policy; 03. Maintain social distancing; and 04.
