The Department of Off-Site Supervision of the Bangladesh Bank has rescheduled the public holiday for Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) from Friday, December 1, 2017, to Saturday, December 2, 2017. This change follows a decision by the National Moon Sighting Committee of the Islamic Foundation. All scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh are directed to observe the revised holiday date.
30 November, 2017 AD Chief Executive All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh Dear Sir, With reference to the rescheduling of the public holiday for the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) from Friday, 01 December, 2017 to Saturday, 02 December, 2017, Attention is drawn to DOS Circular Letter No. 27/2016 dated 01/12/2016 of this department on the subject above. In accordance with the aforementioned circular letter, a holiday was declared on Friday, 01 December, 2017 for the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH). Now, in accordance with the decision of the National Moon Sighting Committee of the Islamic Foundation, the holiday declared for the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) on Friday, 01 December, 2017 has been rescheduled to Saturday, 02 December, 2017.
