subject: instruction to close bank branches/sub-branches used as polling stations and facilitate voting by employee voters on 29 december 2022 for union parishad and pourashava elections.

dear sir,

reference is made to two notifications dated 21 december 2022 issued by the ministry of public administration, bearing numbers 05.00.0000.173.08.002.18-265 and 05.00.0000.173.08.002.21-266 respectively. The first notification concerns the election of 46 union parishads and the by-election for 6 vacant union parishad chairmanship positions (as per the attached list). The second notification concerns the election of 5 pourashavas (bagha in rajshahi district, biral in dinajpur district, boda in panchagarh district, alfadanga in faridpur district, and bonpara in natore district).

In light of the above, you are advised to close any bank branch/sub-branch located within the respective electoral constituencies if such premises have been designated as polling stations or for election-related activities on 29 december 2022, the day of voting. Furthermore, you are instructed to take necessary measures to facilitate employee voters working at your branches/sub-branches in these affected electoral areas to exercise their right to vote.
