DOS Circular Letter No. 40: Instruction to take necessary measures to facilitate casting of vote by the voter employees of the related areas on 29th December 2022 for election of Union Parishads and Pourashavas
The Department of Off-Site Supervision instructs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to close their branches or sub-branches located within specific electoral constituencies on 29 December 2022 if those premises are designated as polling stations for Union Parishad and Pourashava elections. This directive applies to 46 Union Parishads, six vacant Union Parishad Chairmanship seats, and five Pourashavas (Bagha, Biral, Boda, Alfadanga, and Bonpara) where voting is scheduled for that date. Banks must ensure that employee voters residing in these affected areas are provided with the opportunity to exercise their voting rights.
