External chairperson hearing committee fit & proper decisions

Since July 2018 DNB and the AFM have appointed an external person to chair the hearing committee for objections against fit & proper decisions. The external chair is responsible for the course of action during the hearing session. He or she monitors the process and makes sure that all relevant facts regarding the objection are being brought to the table.
