FCRPD Circular Letter No. 13: Name Change of Department of Financial Institutions and Markets (DFIM) to Finance Company Regulation and Policy Department
The Finance Company Regulation and Policy Department has officially changed its name from the Department of Financial Institutions and Markets. This directive is issued under the authority granted by Section 41(2)(d) of the Finance Company Act, 2023. The new name is effective as of June 28, 2026, and applies to all finance companies and scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh.

Attention is drawn to the above-mentioned subject, and you are hereby informed that the name of the Department of Financial Institutions and Markets (DFIM) has been changed and is now designated as follows in English and Bengali:
English: Finance Company Regulation and Policy Department (FCRPD). Bengali: Finance Company Regulation and Policy Department.
