FE Circular No. 02: Submission of Quarterly Statement

The time limit for local agents approved under section 18A of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947 to submit quarterly statements to the respective area office of Bangladesh Bank is extended from 30 days to 60 days from the close of each quarter. This relaxation applies to statements due for the June quarter, 2009, and subsequent quarters. The change amends the requirement previously set in para 3(i)(a), chapter 24 of Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions, Vol-I.

It has now been decided to relax the time limit for submission of this statement from 30 days to 60 days, which will be applicable from June quarter, 2009.
