FE Circular No. 12: Discount claims against export trade
Authorized Dealers in Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh may submit applications for discount claims against the export of footwear produced from leather to the Discount Committee. This decision expands the scope of FE Circular No. 37, dated December 15, 2022, which previously covered only leather goods, to include leather footwear. Applications must be submitted through the Foreign Exchange Policy Department at Bangladesh Bank, Head Office, in compliance with usual formalities and procedures.

Now it has been decided to include footwear, produced from leather within the purview of Discount Committee. In accordance with the decision, ADs may submit applications for discount claims against export of leather goods and footwear produced from leather to Discount Committee through Foreign Exchange Policy Department at Bangladesh Bank, Head Office in compliance with usual formalities and procedures.
