Dear Sir,

Subject: Regarding Recent Instruction by Ministry of Commerce towards the Concerned Organizations for Taking Compulsory Membership of Bangladesh Independent Power Producers Association.

With reference to the circular (Memo No. BAM/TIO-2/A-40/2014/57) dated 25/02/2016 issued by the Ministry of Commerce on the above-mentioned subject (copy enclosed), it is informed that a decision has been taken to make it compulsory for the Bangladesh Independent Power Producers Association (BIPPA), the Bangladesh Association of Independent Power Producers (BAIPP), and the Independent Power Producers Association (IPPA), as well as all entities engaged in such business, to take compulsory membership in the Federation of Bangladesh Independent Power Producers Association (FBIPPA), in accordance with Rule 13(1) of the Associations Ordinance, 1961.

This circular is issued along with this letter to take necessary measures regarding the membership of FBIPPA.
