Dear Sir,

Subject: Opening of Letter of Credit for Import of Pesticides (Used in Agriculture and Public Health) Without Product Registration and Import License.

Reference is invited to the Import Policy Order, 2012-15, issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, regarding the subject cited above. In accordance with the instructions contained in Section 26(14) of the aforementioned section, you are advised to ensure that the importer has the necessary Product Registration Certificate from the Department of Agricultural Extension and the Import License as per the Pesticides Rules, 1985, framed under the Pesticides Ordinance, 1971, before issuing the Letter of Credit for the import of pesticides and insecticides. You are further advised to preserve the relevant documents properly.
