E Circular No.06 Date: February 14 , 2017 All Authorized Dealers of Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh Dear Sirs, Please refer to chapter 5 of the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions-2009 (GFET), Vol-1 in terms of which Bangladesh Bank considers applications for outward remittances not specifically stipulated in GFET on account of current transactions upon establishment of the bonafides of the payment. Registration fee on account of medical check-up for migrant workers 02. It is observed that migrant workers before proceeding abroad need medical check-up with medical centers approved by the concerned countries. The medical check-up formalities are governed by the rules and regulations of the concerned countries for which candidate-wise registration fee is payable to the approving authority of the countries. 03. To facilitate the remittance on account of registration fee for medical check-up services to migrant workers, it has been decided that Authorized Dealers may, upon requests from approved medical centers, remit the fee to the Bank Account of the beneficiaries subject to production of invoices specifying details of the check-up by persons and deduction of applicable taxes.
