Authorized Dealers of Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh are permitted to process online payments for visa processing fees via International Credit Cards (ICC) in accordance with FE Circular No. 11 and the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions. ICC issuing banks are authorized to issue Virtual Cards to individuals who do not hold ICCs specifically to facilitate these online payments.
Foreign Exchange Policy Department Bangladesh Bank Head Office Dhaka www.bb.org.bd FE Circular No. 16 Date: 4 October, 2015 All Authorized Dealers of Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh Dear Sirs, Remittances on account of visa processing fees through ICC/Virtual Card Please refer to FE Circular No 11, dated July 14, 2011 in terms of which ICC/Virtual Cards may be used for online payment of fees as per stipulation of paragraph 9, chapter 11 of Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions (GFET), Vol-1. It has been decided that online payment of visa processing fees through ICC as per requirement of concerned Embassies/High commissions may be effected within the purview of the above mentioned circular. ICC issuing banks may also issue Virtual Cards for individuals not holding ICCs to facilitate the online payment of visa processing fees.
