Foreign Exchange Policy Department Bangladesh Bank Head Office Dhaka www.bb.org.bd FE Circular No.-36 Date: October 09, 2017 All Authorized Dealers of Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh Dear Sirs, Inclusion of export oriented jute products manufacturing industry in Green Transformation Fund Please refer to FE Circular No.-02, dated January 14, 2016, read with FE Circular Letter No.-27, dated October 02, 2016 and FE Circular No.-32, dated August 17, 2017 in terms of which eligible borrowers of export oriented textiles & textile products and leather manufacturing sectors are permitted to avail foreign currency loans from Green Transformation Fund (GTF) to import capital machinery and accessories for implementing specified green/environment-friendly initiatives. To widen the scope of this fund, it has been decided to include export oriented jute products manufacturing sector in the on-lending/re-financing facilities for the said purpose under the GTF. Other instructions in this context shall remain unchanged. Please inform the above instructions, effective immediately, to all your concerned constituents.
