FSC approves Chang Hwa Commercial Bank to Apply for Establishing Representative Office in Phoenix, in the United States

The Financial Supervisory Commission (hereinafter referred to as the “FSC”) granted approval to Chang Hwa Commercial Bank (referred to as “Chang Hwa Bank” hereunder) for applying to the competent authority of the United States for the establishment of its Representative Office in Phoenix, Arizona.
To support the financing needs of Taiwanese business industry in connection with their business development and operations in the U.S., and to provide them with integrated cross-border services, Chang Hwa Bank plans to establish a Representative Office in Phoenix, Arizona.
As of the end of June 2026, Chang Hwa Bank’s overseas presences included its subsidiary in Mainland China, New York Branch, Los Angeles Branch, Tokyo Branch, London Branch, Hong Kong Branch, Singapore Branch, Manila Branch, Tokyo Branch Osaka Sub-branch, and a representative office in Yangon, Myanmar.
The FSC states that Taiwanese banks now have 25 branches, 3 subsidiaries, and 4 representative offices in the U.S., including 1 representative office and 1 loan office in Arizona.
