Guidelines on Agent Banking for the Banks issued vide PSD Circular No. 05/2013 and the above circular letters have been reviewed further with a view to facilitating the banks in implementing the Guidelines in more effective manner. Accordingly a Guidance Note for Approval and Operation of Agent Banking Activities for banks has been issued vide this circular. You are advised to follow the above guidelines issued vide PSD Circular No. 05/2013 and this guidance note for effective implementation of agent banking. This guidance note will also be applicable for the banks those already have approval from Bangladesh Bank for operating agent banking activities. This circular shall remain in force with immediate effect. Please acknowledge receipt.
