Guidelines on internalised settlement reporting under Article 9 of CSDR
ESMA establishes guidelines for competent authorities and settlement internalisers regarding internalised settlement reporting under Article 9 of CSDR, effective from 30 April 2019. Settlement internalisers must report all settlement instructions meeting specific scope criteria, including double-side reporting of volumes in number of instructions, to their national competent authorities. Competent authorities are required to validate these XML reports and submit them to ESMA, while also notifying ESMA of their compliance status within two months of publication.
