M-2026-_____ To : All Banks Transacting with BSP Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, and Ozamiz Branches Subject : Interim Currency Servicing Arrangements at the BSP Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, and Ozamiz Branches To ensure the continued delivery of safe, secure, and efficient currency services to banks transacting with the BSP Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, and Ozamiz Branches, please be advised that the BSP will undertake renovation and retrofitting works on the respective branch buildings. In the interim and pending the completion of these works, the concerned BSP branches shall implement temporary operational arrangements to ensure the uninterrupted provision of currency deposit and withdrawal services. Effective 03 August 2026 and until further notice, the following temporary adjustments to currency servicing shall be observed: a. Suspension of fit currency deposits - Only unfit currency deposits shall be accepted; b. Suspension of the standard verification period – The standard twenty (20)- working-day processing period for the verification of currency deposits shall be temporarily suspended; and c. Revised servicing hours - Currency deposit and withdrawal transactions shall be accepted from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday. In addition, the concerned BSP Branches shall transition to a just-in-time cash shipment arrangement for currency withdrawal transactions. The implementation date shall be announced separately by each BSP Branch. Upon implementation, banks shall be required to submit their currency withdrawal requests at least one (1) week prior to the scheduled withdrawal date to facilitate the timely processing and preparation of their currency requirements.
