Date: 2 February 2024 To: All Registrants and Licensees Re: International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act, Chapter 16 (IOEAMA): Libya Pursuant to section 3A of the International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) Act, Chapter 16 (IOEAMA), licensees and registrants of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (the Commission) are hereby informed that on 31 January 2024, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolution 1970 (2011) concerning Libya has removed the travel ban measure from the individual specified in the attached United Nations Security Council release attached hereto. The individual continues to be subject to the asset freeze measure pursuant the relevant resolutions. The United Nations press release can also be found at the web address below:
